Tears seen on the stone where the blessed Head of grandson of Holy Prophet, the noble Imam Hussain (as) was kept in 61 Hijri, and till todate visitors have occasionally witnessed blood and tears sprouting out, a miracle or maujiza to witness till today although 1400 years have passed.

A brief background of this location is that soon after the carnage at Karbala, where all male members (except Imam Sajjad) and companions of the family of the Holy Prophets were ruthlessly massacred in the plains of Karbala (Iraq), in 61 Hijri, the caravan of the prisoners comprising ladies and children, along with the severed heads of the 72 martyrs were taken from Karbala to Syria, to be presented in the court of the tyrant Yazid ibn Muawiyyah Laanatullah.

On its way, the caravan stopped in Aleppo to rest, at the mesentery, which is this location today. The monk and priest of this monastery noticed that a brilliant light was emitting from the blessed head of Imam Hussein A.S. They requested the guards to allow them to keep the head for one night. The guards were reluctant but agreed after they were paid huge amount by the priests.

The head was placed on the stone that you observe in this video, and the priest were able to talk to the severed head till next day morning, and after it was given back, priest noticed that during the night few drops of blood fell from the blessed head of the Master of the Martyrs Imam Hussain A.S. on this stone. This place became a sacred monument for Zaireen who travel from all corners to visit this location at Alleppo (Halab), to mourn and witness with their own eyes how this blood on the stone has survived last 1400 years and during our visit, we also witnessed with our own eyes how the stone still cries on the noble Imam, a living miracle indeed.
